Perhaps if Trent Edwards had supplanted David Garrard as Jacksonville's starting quarterback this game wouldn't have been blacked-out locally on television for the first time in 27 home games going all the way back to the 2006 regular-season finale. But alas, that is not the case, so you have the Jaguars coming off of a huge 31-28 upset of the Indianapolis Colts looking to use that momentum to create a winning streak. On the other side you have a Buffalo Bills coming off of a humiliating 38-14 loss to the New York Jets that dropped them to 0-4 and 0-3 in the AFC East. They also traded running back Marshawn Lynch to the Seattle Seahawks and have in essence thrown in the towel on the 2010 season, hoping just to make to it to the bye in one piece.
So then why is Buffalo favored a point?
Well, Las Vegas oddsmakers seem to have a feel for games like this. The only thing that seems to make sense is that Jacksonville is coming off of an emotional high with a big Monday night game at home against AFC South rival Tennessee on the horizon. If you combine this with a desperate Buffalo team seeking its first win of the season, the experts believe this one has "trap" game for the Jags written all over it.
