The dispute between FOX and Cablevision that has kept the network's programming off the air in New York and Philadelphia in recent weeks was finally resolved Saturday. The deal came just in time to allow viewers affected by the showdown over carriage rates to watch Game 3 of the World Series between the Giants and Rangers and a day before Sunday's Jets-Packers game on FOX that would also have been blacked out if the stalemate continued.
Viewers already had missed out on the entire NLCS and the first two games of the World Series along with NFL games the last two Sundays.
It wasn't difficult to determine the victor in the agreement that emerged. A statement released by Cablevision made the company's feelings abundantly clear.
