Game 2 of the World Series produced another slide in television ratings compared to last fall, with a drop of 26 percent from its 2009 counterpart.The Giants' 9-0 win over the Rangers drew an 8.5 rating for FOX and was watched by 14.1 million people, according to Nielsen Media Research. That was the second-lowest number ever for a Game 2, trailing only the 8.1 rating drawn by the Rays-Phillies matchup in 2008.
Last year's Yankees-Phillies Game 2 garnered an 11.5 rating.
Viewership was down slightly from Wednesday night's Game 1 broadcast, which drew an 8.9 rating.
