Longtime Cubs bullpen catcher Corey Miller was caught with 8.4 pounds of marijuana in a vehicle that was stopped for speeding by Nebraska State Patrol while he was driving through Lincoln last Saturday, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.Miller has been with the team since 2007.
Miller told the trooper who pulled him over what he did for a living according to the report. "I asked what he did for a living and he said that he was a catcher for the Cubs," the affidavit states.
Miller was reportedly accompanied by 26-year-old Maria Myaskovsky, and an infant . Myaskovsky accepted responsibility for the marijuana, and a background check revealed that she had prior arrests, one time being hit with a charge for intent to deliver.
