Kerry Collins Expected to Start at Quarterback for Titans Sunday

Kerry Collins almost certainly will start against Jacksonville Sunday.

The news isn't as good for Kenny Britt, although the Tennessee Titans wide receiver said Friday his situation continues to improve.

Collins, the Titans' veteran quarterback who has missed the last two games with a calf injury, practiced for a third consecutive day Friday, and barring a setback during pregame warmups is expected to start Sunday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reported Friday.

"We are encouraged," Coach Jeff Fisher said. "It is different getting ready to warm up for practice and getting ready to play a game, so we'll see how he is."

Rookie quarterback Rusty Smith made his first NFL start for Tennessee this past week against Houston. The Titans placed starting quarterback Vince Young (thumb) on injured reserve the week leading to the Houston game.
