Vick became the first player in NFL history to throw for at least 300 yards (333), run for at least 50 (80), pass for four touchdowns and rush for two in a game as the Eagles defeated Washington 59-28. Vick was also the first player to throw for three touchdowns and run for two in the first half during which he compiled a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
His 150.7 rating for the game was a career-high. His 88-yard bomb to receiver DeSean Jackson was the longest touchdown pass on the opening play of a game in 41 years. Philadelphia's 592 yards were a franchise record while the 59 points were the second-most of its 78 seasons.
Vick won four Player of the Week awards while with Atlanta (2001-06) before spending two years in prison on dogfighting charges.
"I don't have to think about going back down the path that I've been down because it's not going to happen," Vick said. "I can live my life with a clear mind every day knowing that I'm moving forward. I'm doing things, not only for the best of myself but for my family. Everything is predicated towards them. That's how I live my life now. It makes (success) sweeter this time around."
Vick was also recognized for his play in Week 9 against Indianapolis making him the first quarterback to be honored in consecutive weeks since Minnesota's Randall Cunningham in 1998. Ironically, Cunningham not only spent most of his career with Philadelphia but is now the only quarterback ahead of Vick in career rushing yards.
