Last week we took a look at Major League Soccer's goal of the year nominees. It was tough to choose a winner from a league with just 16 teams (The recipient will be announced on Wednesday).FIFA's Puskás Award expands the potential pool to every team on Earth. Launched last year and named for the famous Hungary and Real Madrid star of the 1950s and 60s, the award will be voted on by fans and features 10 nominees selected based on the following criteria, according to FIFA:
1 - "aesthetics"
2 - "the importance of the match"
3 - "the absence of luck or an opposition mistake as a factor making the goal possible"
4 - "fair play"
5 - it must have been scored between Jan. 1 and Oct. 15.
