The amount of the fine and lack of other disciplinary action may not sit well with the Steelers' James Harrison, who had called for a harsh fine and-or suspension. Harrison has been the target of hefty league-imposed fines in the NFL's crack-down on helmet-to-helmet hits.
However, there may have been something of a mitigating factor in the NFL's decision because Roethlisberger tapped Seymour on the shoulder before the Raiders player wheeled around and decked him with an open-handed jab to the face.
