While watching Auburn and Oregon post video game stats against each other in the BCS title game in January would be fun, let's deal in reality -- it's not going to happen.Since 2006, the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in Week 5 of the BCS rankings haven't come close to playing in the marquee game.
And the likelihood of both those teams finishing the season undefeated is as great as Cam Newton holding a press conference the night before the Iron Bowl and admitting that he was indeed paid handsomely. (A paltry $200K wouldn't be enough for me to spend one year in Auburn, let alone two. And $180K to play in Starkville? Newton definitely needs a pro agent, like now).
So, who will be battling for that nice piece of crystal on Jan. 10 in Glendale?
