Cincinnati Bengals safety Chris Crocker sustained a torn ACL in the first half of the team's 49-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Paul Brown Stadium and was placed on the injured reserve list. The Bengals also placed defensive end Frostee Rucker on IR, moves that end both of their seasons. Rucker suffered a knee injury against the Colts on Nov. 14 at Indianapolis.
Crocker started nine games at free safety and recorded 42 tackles, including two sacks, six passes defenses and forced two fumbles. Rucker started in three games, but participated in all of the Bengals' first nine games where he had 20 tackles, including a sack, and defended one pass.
The Bengals added defensive end Antwan Odom to the roster from the exempt list. Odom returned to the team last week on a roster exemption, after completing a four-week NFL suspension for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substitutes. Odom performed in four games this season (with three starts) and recorded eight tackles with a pass defended.
