Philadelphia's 45 points in the first half were a team record, and also broke the NFL record for points scored in the first half by a road team. The Eagles' previous record for points in a half was 42, set in 2007 against the Lions.
The 45 points also tied the Redskins' team record for most points allowed in a half -- Washington coughed up 45 to the Bears in a 73-0 loss in the 1940 NFL championship game.
Vick completed his first 10 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns. By halftime, he had accounted for five touchdowns, two on the ground -- a combination that had never happened in the first half of an NFL game, either.
Vick, who tore rib cartilage in Week 4 against the Redskins, heaved the ball 62 yards on the first play right into the hands of Pro Bowl receiver DeSean Jackson, who was singled up on safety LaRon Landry, for an 88-yard touchdown, the longest opening play in Eagles history and the longest of the careers of Vick and Jackson.
