Gonzalez, 33, came to the Braves on July 14 in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays. In 72 games in Atlanta he hit .240, belted six home runs and drove in 38 runs. Prior to joining the Braves, he hit 17 home runs in Toronto and drove in 50 runs. Gonzalez led all shortstops with 42 doubles last season and was second in RBI (88) and third in home runs (23).
The 2011 option on Gonzalez will cost the Braves $2.5 million.
Infante, 28, had a break-out season in 2010 -- seeing the first full-time action of his career and being named to the National League All-Star team. He hit .321 with eight home runs and 47 RBI and will make $2.5 million in 2011.
