GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Auburn quarterback Cam Newton took a big hit late in the fourth quarter of the Tigers' 22-19 victory over Oregon in the BCS Championship Game from the Ducks' Casey Matthews. That big hit left Newton rattled, but he considered it well worth the pain.
"I'm okay," he said, "it was worth it." Smiling, Newton continued, "I got the better deal out of the whole thing. It wasn't just one hit that made my back go out."
A grinning Newton continued, "I don't want nobody to feel sorry for me because throughout this year didn't nobody feel sorry for Auburn. We got the last laugh."
