The Los Angeles Times notes that Francis appeared intoxicated and "became boisterous at one of the ticket counters."
He was taken into custody at approximately 10:00 p.m. local time, and was later released after posting $10,000 bail early Friday morning, officials reported.
Francis is a former NBA All-Star who played nine seasons in the league, most notably for the Houston Rockets. He was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft after spending his college career at Maryland. He has not played in the NBA since the 2007-08 season.
