Alex Smith floated an interception into the Philadelphia secondary with less than 30 seconds left to end a late 49ers' comeback.
Kolb tied the game in the first quarter, rolling to his right to avoid Manny Lawson's rush and finding tight end Brent Celek for an 8-yard touchdown. After David Akers put Philadelphia ahead with a field goal, McCoy burst up the middle for a 29-yard touchdown to make it 17-7.
After Kolb was sacked by Travis LaBoy for an 8-yard loss late in the third quarter with the Eagles only leading by a touchdown, he made like pass/run threat Vick and scooted or 19 yards on third-and-18.
